My Plan Helper

Support Coordination

From the provider: My Plan Helper started out providing support coordination for people with NDIS plans. We saw many people with NDIS plans, their families and sometimes even support coordinators have trouble navigating the NDIS system because it is sometimes too complex, unclear and overwhelming. The NDIS is still relatively new, and it is evolving all the time. Even though there’s plenty of information online, My Plan Helper realised that a lot of it wasn’t in plain English, and there wasn’t a one stop shop where people could come and learn everything they needed to navigate their own NDIS Plan, or to support someone who has one. That's why we started to develop easy to follow courses with no homework or tests that people could do on their phone, tablet, laptop or PC. The course might be able to be paid from a NDIS plan for some people. Not everyone has NDIS Support Coordination in their plan, why not use our courses to help you with your NDIS journey, Go to our website to find out more and enrol - www.myplanhelper.com.au

My Supports

Support Work

NDIS Registered

From the provider: My Supports was founded in 2015 by people with a disability and families. The founders – Jim Cairns, Rex Baker and Terry Mader – saw the NDIS as an opportunity for people with a disability to play a greater role in designing and delivering services, believing this leads to better, more innovative services due to the experiences and insights people with the lived experience can bring. Terry and Jim are in wheelchairs following motorcycle accidents at a young age. Rex was the principal carer for his mother who had MS. Together with volunteers and supporters, My Supports was created by, and for, people with a disability. Our innovative approach has resonated with thousands of NDIS participants. Today My Supports operates in five states and nearly 70 local Neighbourhood Teams. We provide assistance with daily living, support coordination and accommodation support services. My Supports is one of the leading providers and supporters of Individualised Living Options across Australia. We currently provide services in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.

Costs vary based on the type of support, time of service (standard hours, evenings, weekends), worker qualifications, and travel requirements. Plan-managed and self-managed participants have greater flexibility in choosing providers and negotiating rates.

What's the difference between registered and unregistered NDIS providers?

NDIS registered providers have met quality and safety standards set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Agency-managed participants must use registered providers. Can I change my NDIS Services provider if it's not working out?

Yes, you have the right to change providers at any time. Review your service agreement for notice periods and discuss any concerns with your provider first. If you're unhappy with the service, you can end the agreement and find a new provider that better meets your needs.

How do I find NDIS Services providers who speak my language?

Use the Language filter at the top of this page to find providers offering support in your preferred language. Western Australia has providers available in many languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Greek, Italian, and more. You can also specify language requirements when contacting providers directly.

What qualifications should NDIS Services providers have?

All NDIS workers must have a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check. Many hold qualifications like Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or relevant allied health degrees. Specialist providers may have additional training in specific disability types. Always ask providers about their qualifications and experience.
