Official NDIS Resources
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) provides a range of official resources to help participants understand their plans and entitlements. Visit ndis.gov.au for the NDIS Price Guide, support category descriptions, the Provider Finder tool, and information about planning meetings. The NDIA helpline is available on 1800 800 110.
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission handles complaints about provider conduct and registration. Contact them at ndiscommission.gov.au or on 1800 035 544 if you have concerns about a provider's conduct or service quality.
Understanding Your Plan
Your NDIS plan is structured around three support budget categories: Core Supports (day-to-day assistance), Capacity Building (skills and independence), and Capital Supports (equipment and home modifications). Understanding which budget each support falls under helps you choose the right providers and avoid overspending in a single category.
If you are unsure how to read your plan or which supports you are entitled to, speak with a Support Coordinator or a Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Our directory includes support coordinators who can help interpret your plan and identify suitable providers.

Disability advocacy organisations across Australia offer free guides and support for participants navigating the NDIS. Organisations such as Disability Advocacy Network Australia (DANA), Physical Disability Australia (PDA), and state-based advocacy services can provide independent advice on your rights and entitlements.
