Dignified Caring

Social Activities, Cleaning, Behavioural Support +1 more

NDIS Registered

From the provider: Dignified Caring is a family owned business that has lived experiences of what life is like living with disabilities, we've had the privilege of living with challenging situations, as we've seen and experienced first hand of what it means to be born with a rare, inheritable connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, in which a faulty collagen gene is inherited. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body which means it affects anything and everything in some form or another. Currently there is no cure. As a family these experiences have made us stronger, more compassionate, and have helped us to appreciate life in a whole new way. We know what its like to not only deal with countless Dr's appointments, surgeries and therapies but also have to deal with people who are insensitive and ignorant to our needs, this can lead to people with disabilities being treated unequally or worse. Dignified Caring has the experience and compassion to care for your loved ones. We focus on improving the quality of life which we believe is essential to achieving true dignity. We provide disability support and care for your family like our own. Disability doesn't define us, we do.

Our sensory spaces are designed to support participants who benefit from a calm, stimulating, or sensory-friendly environment. These spaces can be used for relaxation, regulation, exploration, and engagement according to each participant’s individual needs. Our community access activities provide opportunities for participants to get out and about, explore their local community, take part in social activities, visit places of interest, and build confidence and independence in real-world settings. In addition to our day program, we provide high-quality support work and home care services tailored to each participant’s individual needs, preferences, goals, and routines. Our dedicated support workers assist participants to live with greater confidence, choice, and independence in their own homes and within the community. Support may include personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, medication prompts, transport, appointment assistance, community access, daily living activities, and meaningful social engagement. We work closely with participants, families, carers, and support networks to ensure services are delivered with respect, dignity, consistency, and a strong focus on individual wellbeing.
