Unisson Disability

Support Work, Social Activities

4.8 (4) NDIS Registered

From the provider: The most important thing you need to know about us... is Unisson. It means what you think it means. No hidden or cryptic messaging. It is simple. At Unisson, we aim to work with you. Alongside you. In collaboration. In relationship. In Unisson. There is one part that probably needs an explanation - the double SS. This is to retain a connection to our history and our previous name SunShine. When we talk about collaboration and partnership it means that your goals are our goals, we really mean that. Whatever you want out of life, and however you want to go about getting there, we are along for the ride with you, and the ride is what we do best! You see, to us, the ride is the journey, the relationship we build with you. We believe relationships don't just make the world go round, they make it a better place for all of us to live. We believe our people are different. We only employ good people, people who embody our values. Our people are the ones who want to make a difference in the world. We believe that small actions, create big impact. We are the man who will let you go first in the checkout when you have fewer items. We are the woman who smiled at you with comfort when your young child once again had a tantrum in the shopping centre. We are the people that when we ask, 'how are you?', we stop and really listen to hear how you are. We are the people that believe a more inclusive world for people with disability is possible and we know our everyday actions will help create it. As an organisation, we've been around forever! Well not forever but close to it, 95 years! We are proud of our history not because it means we are old, but because it means we have nostalgic and inspiring beginnings to lean on. Read about our beginnings that continually inspire us towards our vision of a world where every person is welcomed - really welcomed not just waved at!

View Profile

From the provider: Choosing the right Support Coordinator can make a real difference to how confident and supported you feel when navigating your NDIS plan. My goal is to make the process clearer, easier and less overwhelming, while ensuring you receive the support you truly need. I bring over 17 years of experience in Community Services, supporting people from many different backgrounds and life situations. Throughout my career I have worked closely with individuals and families to help them access services, overcome barriers and build more independent and fulfilling lives. I understand that every person’s journey is unique, and I always approach my work with patience, respect and genuine care. Alongside my experience, I hold both a Certificate IV and a Diploma in Community Services, which have given me a strong foundation in advocacy, support planning and connecting people with the right services. What also shapes my work is lived experience. I am the parent of two neurodiverse teenagers, which means I understand firsthand many of the challenges families can face when navigating disability supports. This experience has given me a deeper level of empathy and understanding, and I know how important it is to feel heard, respected and supported. I have a strong knowledge of the NDIS system and processes and work closely with participants to help them understand their plans, connect with the right providers and make the most of the supports available to them. Advocacy is a big part of my role. I believe every participant deserves to have their voice heard and their needs respected. If something isn’t working, I will help you communicate with providers and ensure your supports are aligned with your goals. I also have strong experience in budget management and maximising NDIS funding, helping participants use their plans effectively so they can access the supports that will make the biggest difference in their lives. My business is called Above & Beyond Coordination and Support Services because that is exactly the level of care and dedication I bring to the people I support. I genuinely believe participants deserve someone who is willing to go the extra mile to help them navigate the system, solve challenges and achieve their goals. My approach is always person-centred and holistic. I focus on the whole person, not just the plan. Everyone has different goals, strengths and needs, and I work alongside participants and their families to build supports that truly reflect what matters most to them. I’m known for being hands-on, solution-focused and creative when problem-solving. When challenges arise, I work hard to find practical solutions and new opportunities so participants can continue moving forward. Strong communication is also very important to me. I aim to build trusting relationships with participants, families and providers so everyone feels comfortable, informed and supported. I understand that reaching out for support can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve had difficult experiences in the past or are unsure where to start. My goal is to make the process feel comfortable, supportive and empowering. I take the time to truly listen, understand what matters most to you, and work alongside you at your own pace so you feel confident and supported every step of the way. If you are looking for a Support Coordinator who is experienced, approachable and genuinely invested in your journey, I would love the opportunity to work with you. I would love to connect.

Dignified Caring

Social Activities, Cleaning, Behavioural Support +1 more

NDIS Registered

From the provider: Dignified Caring is a family owned business that has lived experiences of what life is like living with disabilities, we've had the privilege of living with challenging situations, as we've seen and experienced first hand of what it means to be born with a rare, inheritable connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, in which a faulty collagen gene is inherited. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body which means it affects anything and everything in some form or another. Currently there is no cure. As a family these experiences have made us stronger, more compassionate, and have helped us to appreciate life in a whole new way. We know what its like to not only deal with countless Dr's appointments, surgeries and therapies but also have to deal with people who are insensitive and ignorant to our needs, this can lead to people with disabilities being treated unequally or worse. Dignified Caring has the experience and compassion to care for your loved ones. We focus on improving the quality of life which we believe is essential to achieving true dignity. We provide disability support and care for your family like our own. Disability doesn't define us, we do.
