Wright Aboriginal Cultural Community Care Services (WACCCS) is an Aboriginal-owned and operated provider delivering culturally safe, culturally appropriate, and person-centred supports that empower people to build independence, strengthen wellbeing, and stay connected to culture, community, and Country. At WACCCS, we believe support should be more than just a service. It should feel safe, respectful, empowering, and genuinely responsive to each person’s individual journey, goals, strengths, and needs.
Our primary focus is on providing flexible, inclusive, and meaningful support that is tailored to the individual. We understand that no two people are the same, which is why we take the time to get to know each participant and provide support in a way that reflects their preferences, circumstances, identity, and aspirations. We work alongside participants, families, carers, and support networks to create opportunities for growth, connection, and greater confidence in everyday life.
What sets WACCCS apart is our strong cultural foundation and genuine commitment to delivering supports through a culturally safe lens. As an Aboriginal-led service, we recognise that culture is not an add-on, but a vital part of identity, healing, belonging, and wellbeing. We are passionate about creating spaces where people feel heard, understood, valued, and proud of who they are. Our supports are designed to not only meet practical needs, but also to strengthen connection to community, culture, and Country in ways that are meaningful and empowering.
WACCCS provides a range of supports that may include one-on-one assistance, community access, social participation, transport, mentoring, and culturally grounded programs and activities. Through our approach, we aim to build life skills, encourage independence, promote inclusion, and support participants to work towards goals that matter to them. We are committed to walking alongside people in a way that is respectful, relationship-based, and focused on long-term positive outcomes.
Our mission is to provide culturally safe, inclusive, and empowering support that helps individuals thrive and feel connected. Our vision is a future where people are supported to live life their way, with culture, identity, and community recognised as strengths. WACCCS is proud to deliver support that is holistic, compassionate, and community-focused, creating meaningful pathways towards independence, wellbeing, and a stronger sense of belonging.
