About Ubuntu Support Services

Western Australia

Ubuntu Support Services are based in Perth, Western Australia, dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centred mental health and psychosocial disability support. Our name is drawn from the African philosophy of Ubuntu — "I Am Because We Are" — the belief that our shared humanity connects us all. This philosophy is at the heart of everything we do. We specialise in working with people living with psychosocial disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex support needs.

Our experienced, culturally responsive team walks alongside each participant on their recovery journey, empowering them to build independence, resilience, and meaningful connections within their community. Our Services: Psychosocial Recovery Coaching — Personalised one-on-one support to help you build independence, develop coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve meaningful life goals at your own pace. Your dedicated recovery coach works with you to create a plan that reflects your strengths, interests, and aspirations.

Professional Counselling — Evidence-based therapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. Available face-to-face in Perth or via telehealth, our qualified counsellors provide a safe, supportive space to work through challenges and build emotional wellbeing. Community Group Activities (Ubuntu Hub) — Small groups of 6 to 10 participants enjoying art therapy, mindfulness, cooking, fitness, and social connection with qualified facilitators.

Our Ubuntu Hub is a welcoming space where you can develop new skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) — Helping young adults aged 15 to 24 transition from school to meaningful employment through a structured four-phase journey of discovery, exploration, skill building, and work experience. We partner with local businesses to create real-world opportunities. Daily Living and Community Access — Practical support with daily tasks, transport, appointments, household management, and community participation.

We help you build the confidence and skills to live more independently and engage with your community. Capacity Building and Wellbeing Support — Developing practical skills for independent living including budgeting, meal preparation, personal care, and emotional resilience. We focus on building your strengths so you can achieve greater independence over time. Why Choose Ubuntu Support Services? We are specialists in mental health and psychosocial disability support.

Our team is person-centred and culturally responsive, tailoring every service to your individual goals. We offer flexible scheduling including after-hours and weekends, and our local Perth-based professionals understand your community. Our services can be funded through your NDIS plan under Core Supports, Capacity Building, or Recovery Coaching line items. We handle all paperwork and service agreements so you can focus on your recovery. au to learn more about how we can support you.
