Not just babysitters. All the staff that have come through Thrive Community to help my mother have actually engaged with her. The speak to her, get to know her, think of her and will even sometimes come to the house with something small for her like her favourite chocolate that they get on their way to our house. The staff don’t just come and sit on their phones or work in silence, they are friendly, polite and genuinely interested hearing about what is going on.

I posted on Facebook asking for help with my application for the NDIS. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Lots of people were willing to comment advice and tag services which was very nice. I received a personal message from Thrive Community and the next day, we had a phone conversation for about an hour, free of charge. The lady I spoke to told me step-by-step what I need to do to get that application free of charge. She even sent me an email with things I needed for my application. Since then, I have completed my application and it is currently being processed by NDIS. Thank you.

Ainsley and her staff work with me for most of the week. They look after a range of things such as cooking, cleaning, helping me with shopping, running errands, taking me to appointments amongst many, many other things. I can trust that I can go to them with a problem and they can help me solve it, sometimes outside of business hours. I am very pleased with my decision to have them work with me.

An open and honest approach to business. If something can’t be done, I’m told that and not left waiting or guessing what is going to happen next with my support and plan. If a staff members says they will ask their boss for something for me, they actually do and the boss will contact me quickly to help.

I met a Thrive Team member whilst they were assisting someone at our local arts class. They were happy to talk to wife and I about support work etc. whilst still assisting their person they were looking after. Since that talk, I now have my very own Thrive support worker who takes me out to my arts classes, on walks and to the shops.

I don’t usually do this but it’s too nice not to share. My family and I have worked with Ainsley, the owner, and the Thrive Community staff for a number of months now. I spoke to Ainsley recently about how we had isolate for 14 days due to COVID-19. In addition to being extremely understanding about needing to temporarily stop the services provided, the Thrive Team had organised a beautiful fresh fruit, vegetable and bread produce box delivered straight to our door to get us through a difficult time. This level of thought and care is one I have not experienced with anyone else.

I was very impressed by the level of care, thought and consideration shown by Ainsley in our initial meet and greet. She showed a great level of knowledge of the NDIS and helped me devise a clear direction for the use of my plan.
