Small Steps Learning matched me with a student after speaking to the family about their educational goals for their daughter. After meeting the student, I can see that the Small Steps Learning director used his knowledge and intuition to find a suitable tutor. I have already been able to identify and address key learning needs in six short weeks. Teaching academic writing is my specialisation and this will continue to be a focus area for this student. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to tutor this student on a long-term basis in order to witness her growth in confidence and skills. (Teacher & Tutor, Sydney Area)

SSL has provided wonderful educational support to my 2 son's (6 and 9 years old). We homeschool both children who are 'twice exceptional' (ASD/ADHD/Anxiety/ Dysgraphia/gifted) and have complicated learning profiles. SSL has helped us to provide an individualised learning program that suits both children's very different needs. They have managed the tricky task of catering to their strengths whilst building in supports where needed. Most importantly though, they have been able to build a genuine rapport with the boys and keep them engaged in tasks that they generally find challenging. I would highly recommend this service to anyone in search of support for their children's educational needs.

Response from Small Steps Learning

Hi genar76, I thoroughly enjoy working with your boys and look forward to our sessions every week. Best wishes, SSL.

Tutoring has helped my ADHD/anxious child to focus more on her strengths and to work through the obstacles. She and her tutor are working through study plans and strategies to motivate and organise her studies. Tutor is wonderful at finding the rewards to motivate her. Highly recommend.

Response from Small Steps Learning

Thanks Gaelicpagan for your kind words. We will get there. Best regards, Phill Baldock

We used small steps learning in a rather emergency situation when we learnt at the last minute our daughter was dislexic at the beginning of Yr 12. SSL was so helpful in turning our panic into a calm, confident non catastrophic situation. Our daughter was coached with respect, courtesy and professionalism. As a parent, I was so grateful. We will use Small Steps Learning again for our next daughter facing the HSC without hesitation.

Response from Small Steps Learning

Thanks for your feedback Felix. It was a pleasure to mentor your daughter, at what is a highly stressful time for all families. Small Steps Learning will look forward to working with other members of your family in the near future. Best regards, Phill

Small Steps learning is run by an experienced and caring educational professional. He caters for children of all ages but my personal experience of him involves an 8 year old boy with behavioural difficulties and autism. He has always been diligent, hardworking and above all he has been able to develop a very personal rapport which is very hard to come by these days. Small steps learning uses up to the minute tactics to problem solve and help children reach their true potential. We have been fortunate enough to reap the benefits of such critical thinking. Thank you Small Steps Learning!!

Response from Small Steps Learning

Thank you, Andy for your positive feedback. With your expertise now in place, your small steps will lead to big outcomes for our client. Best wishes for the future, Phill Baldock.

Small Steps Learning has been the missing link we have been looking for in our son’s education. Our son is on the Autism Spectrum and in a mainstream school. He has very good support at school, but still had a couple of areas that needed targeting. Not only has SSLT been able to assist and improve grades in some subjects, but they also continue to bolster our son’s confidence for which there is no monetary value. I cannot speak highly enough of Small Steps Learning, it has been a godsend!

Response from Small Steps Learning

Your kind words are much appreciated Giesefam. Your son's achievement has been a collaborative effort by a dedicated and committed team. Keep up the good work, and we will continue to see significant progress. Best regards, Phill Baldock
