About Riverways Of Wellbeing

Queensland

About Me: My name is Paige Jones, and I am an Accredited Social Worker registered with the Australian Association Of Social Workers (AASW). I have 11 years’ experience in Social Work with children and adults with disabilities, 4 years’ experience as a disability support worker and 1 years’ experience as a drug and alcohol counsellor. Although specialising in disability and the NDIS, I have vast experience in supporting adults, children and families with anxiety, SELF CARE, relationships, behaviours, transitions, and mental health and general wellbeing – we know everything interlinks.

I am a mother of a busy child with ADHD, the friend of a beautiful woman with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, and the facilitator of a carer support group - my personal and work life have made me who I am today. Meet with me and see if I am a fit for you and your family. Take my resources, skills and knowledge and implement them into your life. Do you or your child have a disability? Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Intellectual Impairment (II) Learning Delay Global Development Delay Cerebral Palsy (CP) Down Syndrome Chromosomal Disorders Acquired Brain Injury What does Social Work therapy look like?

Social Work sessions involve the use of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuroscience (the developing brain), attachment theory, psychoeducation (understanding & coping with illness), change management, and counselling skills. I use various forms of play, art and conversation to complete assessments and develop the skills of my clients - making therapy a fun and relaxed environment. Does anyone in your family struggle with the following?

Attachment (emotional bond with another person) Emotional Regulation (gain control over ones emotions) Disability Awareness (a sense of self and understanding) Separation Anxiety (fear of being separated from another, transitions) Social Anxiety (fear/avoidance of social situations) Self Esteem & Confidence (how you feel about yourself/abilities) Assertiveness Skills (positive communication) Friendship Development (building connections with others) Social Skills (listening, communicating, turn taking, play) Inclusion (feeling apart, fair participation) Independence (being free and in control of ones self) Focus and Attention (mental & emotional effort at tasks) Personal Space and Boundaries (safety & comfort of self and others) Sibling Rivalry (tension, fights, attention seeking) Relationships (communication, boundaries, conflict, healthy) Parenting (managing behaviours, praise, routines) Mental Health & Wellbeing (stress, competence, productivity, enjoyment, housing) Assessments: Riverways Of Wellbeing Social Workers can provide functional capacity assessments and psychosocial assessments .

Riverways Of Wellbeing complete Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) to identify and report funding needs for NDIS plans, assist with diagnosis, and develop a comprehensive intervention plan. A FCA reviews your performance in all areas of daily living around the home, school and community. A FCA report provides detailed information on a person's functional capacity along with the difficulties or limitations they may experience in carrying out every day tasks.

A report provides assessment in these areas along with recommendations and strategies to increase your independence. 0 *Sensory Profile 2 *PEDI-CAT Timeframe: Functional Capacity Assessments can take between 2-3 hours to complete (you or other stakeholders may also be required to complete a Self/Parent/Caregiver/Teacher questionnaire).
