Plan Management is a disability service funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The function of Plan Management is to assist and support NDIS participants with their NDIS plan funding. Plan Management is one of three ways a participants plan can be managed. They can be (1) Agency Managed, (2) Self Managed or (3) Plan Managed (JPA). When participants choose to use a Plan Management provider such as JPA, they will assist a participant in managing their NDIS plan funds.
Plan Management providers can purchase supports on behalf of participants from either registered or unregistered providers. A Plan Manager will receive funds from the NDIA and disburse funds on behalf of a participant to providers other services needed.
