I have worked for many years in the industry and understand the challenges that can come with it — including false hope, unclear communication, and situations where expectations are not managed properly. I’ve seen firsthand how easily things can go wrong when communication breaks down.
after relocating from Tasmania to Western Australia, I continued to see how many people struggle to access and understand the supports available to them. That’s when I sat down with John, and we made the decision to start our own company. We are clear about our goal — we do not want to become a large organisation. We are committed to staying small and family-focused, where every person is known, valued, and supported properly — not treated as just another number.
When services grow too big, communication can suffer and quality can be lost. We are intentional about doing things differently. at the heart of what we do is compassion, kindness, and trust. We see every individual as exactly that — an individual — and we go the extra mile to provide real choice, control, and the freedom to work towards the goals that matter most. Products and Services J&M-Supportlink delivers personalised disability and mental health support services for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
We proudly support children through to adults under 65 years of age, focusing on consistency, reliability, and meaningful outcomes. Our services include: Daily Living Support: Assistance with personal care, routines, and everyday tasks to promote comfort, dignity, and independence Community Access: Support to attend appointments, activities, and social events, encouraging active participation Transport Support: Safe and reliable transport to help participants get where they need to go Companionship and Social Support: One-on-one support to reduce isolation, build meaningful connections, and increase confidence in social settings Mental Health Support: Practical, person-centred support tailored to individuals living with mental health challenges Behaviour Support Approach: Positive strategies, early intervention, and respectful de-escalation techniques to support safe outcomes Skill Building and Independence: Supporting participants to develop routines, life skills, and confidence to live more independently We offer a wide range of supports because we recognise that every person’s needs are different.
Keeping communication open is extremely important to us so nothing is missed or misunderstood along the way. We are honest, clear, and upfront from the beginning — including during onboarding. We do not sugar-coat things or make false promises. With many years of experience in the industry, we are committed to doing things the right way. Our goal is simple — to provide genuine, reliable, person-centred support while maintaining the personal connection that is often lost in larger organisations.
