Irena Care

I had a wonderful experience with Irena Care when my father went into respite. The staff took such great care of him and made sure he felt comfortable, supported, and respected. One thing that really stood out to me was that they took my father out into the community, which was so good to see. His current SIL provider often has trouble supporting him to get out and about, so seeing Irena Care make this happen meant a lot to our family. The staff at Irena Care are very professional, but also loving, caring, and patient at the same time. They made my father feel safe and happy, and now he is always wanting to go back to respite with Irena Care. I highly recommend Irena Care to anyone looking for a caring, supportive, and professional provider. They truly go above and beyond.

I cannot thank Irena Care enough for the amazing support they provided to my mother during her respite stay. My mother lives with dementia, and finding a provider that truly understands how to support her needs was incredibly important to our family. I first discovered Irena Care on Instagram, and what immediately attracted me was a video from the director sharing their personal story about having a sister with autism and a father with a disability. From that moment, I felt confident that this was a provider that genuinely understood the challenges families face and would put quality care at the heart of everything they do. I was absolutely right. The way the staff spoke to my mother, treated her with dignity, and managed her dementia-related behaviours was exceptional. They showed patience, compassion, and professionalism at all times. It was clear they were highly skilled and genuinely cared about her wellbeing. I was so impressed that I asked one of the staff members how they were able to work so effectively with people living with dementia. They explained that every month the team participates in behavioural training, where they learn about a wide range of behaviours, how to respond appropriately, what strategies work best, and what approaches to avoid. This level of ongoing training really shows in the quality of care they provide. Knowing my mother was safe, understood, and cared for gave our family complete peace of mind. I am incredibly grateful to have found Irena Care and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for respite or disability support services. They truly go above and beyond.
