Inspiring conference for children, teens and adult living with disability and/or family. Speakers give inspiration and insight about what is possible with enough support and opportunity to participate in school, employment, social networks. Wonderful to get a birds eye view on the huge amount of efforts families provide to their child and adult children to make a different reality happen that is about inclusion and life long choices.

[Conference Day 1] It was a great environment and a great day to do thinking around building a better life. I thought that some of the speakers ranged from being amazing to a little out of touch with what the audience wanted or needed. I'd like to see some more practical sessions, rather than mostly testimonial sessions.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Hello SandraDee, Thanks so much for your feedback. I would love to understand what speakers resonated with you and where we could improve for next time if your happy to share via email? info@imaginemore.org.au Thanks

I attended both days of the conference in Canberra from another state. It was very well organised and all the stories were delivered by passionate parents. The session was fantastic. Interacting with others (Professionals and Parents) really opened my eyes to the differences of opinion and experience of disability within education. I was disappointed that there was no information or discussion about puberty, sexuality and practical tips for adolescence. I would have loved some more services there to chat to in person as my time is so limited and this was focused time to learn and expand my understanding of how to do this parenting thing better for my child. Location, venue and food was excellent. I am looking forward to going again and would definitely recommend to others as the organiser and her team are beautiful, organised and incredible humans.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Thanks so much for your feedback. It is always helpful for us to understand what other topics would be helpful for families. We will definitely take this into account for next time:)

[Conference Day 2] Fantastic conference. It was fantastic to hear from families. A "real life" perspective is a very refreshing one. Set up of the conference has been great, food was incredible and the team has been amazing. Thank you for having me.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Thanks for your comments Jemima. So pleased you enjoyed hearing from the families perspective.

[Conference Day 2] Time was an issue. It would have been good to make time for questions for every speaker. The employment workshop was so inspiring. I have been to all imagine more conferences & I learn something different every time. I'm an agent of change in the community sector.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Thanks so much for taking the time to provide feedback. Yes I agree it was a shame we didn't have time for questions for all speakers. We will try our best to ensure there is time for all speakers next time. We hope you managed to catch some of the presenters in the breaks:)

[Conference Day 2] I think its amazing. So fantastic. I have 4 children who have disability and I've never been to anything about this before. I get the idea now that there are options for a future instead of just a group home. So excited.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Hello Meryn, We are thrilled that you have found the conference content helpful in imagining the possibilities for your children. Stay in touch.

[Conference Day 2] First two presentations were great but the third one I lost interest in a little. It seemed a long winded way of delivering a simple message. Would have liked it more concise & specific. I work in disability.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Thanks so much for your feedback. We agree the international speaker presenting via Skype was problematic and we would have loved a better outcome for the audience. We hope you found the rest of the day helpful.

[Conference Day 1] Liked the talk about being on the fence. For next year – some more information about NDIS. Good generic info – not just for disability but great life advice

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Thanks for your feedback. We are more than happy to talk via phone if you need help with NDIS:)

[Conference Day 1] There were some great insights into how families got their children included, however the strategies seemed to require a level of education & socioeconomic status not available to all.

[Conference Day 1] Great presenting line up but would love some more local professionals. Thought provoking content. Story based is more engaging to hear. Would love interactive sessions next year. More services with stalls to connect with.

[Conference Day 1] Great guest speakers. Thought producing ideas. However need some more interactive elements. Good range of information for variety of age groups. Suggest video of guest speakers projected onto screen as presenting.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Hello Elsa, Thanks for your feedback. Yes we agree more interaction is always the best way to learn and take in information. We hope to run more workshops with this style if your interested.

[Conference Day 1] Wonderful. Great capacity building thematic workshop. Best practice (parent, systemic advocate, professional)

It was awesome to see such passionate people together in one room, providing a vision and hope for the future for people who were feeling lost or in need of inspiration. As a professional, however, I felt that there were some elements missing. It would have been good to have more engagement of conference participants, more fun in the day, and more chance to interact with others who were there. I walked away with some new tools, but it would have been good to have presenters distil their learnings into more 'bite-sized pieces' I could take away. Fantastically organised conference though and I still came away super inspired.

Response from Imagine More Ltd

Thanks so much for your feedback, we are always looking for ways to improve our work. I agree more interaction is always preferable. Warmly Jan
