Disability Insurance Administration Services, known as DIAS, is an NDIS plan management provider based in Cairns North, Queensland. The organisation manages participant funding on their behalf: it pays invoices from the providers a participant chooses, monitors the budget, and lodges claims through the NDIS portal. Because plan management lets participants use providers whether or not those providers are NDIS registered, clients keep flexibility over who delivers their supports while the administrative work is handled for them.
DIAS was established by Geoff, who started the service after seeing how much time participants and their carers spent on funding administration. The plan management fee is paid separately by the NDIS and is not taken from a participant's support budget.
