Carers Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation and the peak body for unpaid carers, founded in 1989 as the Queensland Council of Carers with its head office in Brisbane. It offers information, advocacy and community programs for carers, people with disability and families, with more than 500 staff across its offices. Since 2017 it has been an NDIS local area coordination partner, helping people with disability aged 9 to 65, carers and families apply for the Scheme, use their plan and link with mainstream supports. It also runs a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 32047) delivering accredited Certificate III and Certificate IV courses through blended online and workshop delivery.
