Why us? Abito Care and Support Services is a Toowoomba based disability services provider that provides NDIS Core services. We also provide services to people residing in the Brisbane, Ipswich, and Western Downs regions. We come with many years of experience in the Community Services Industry - Mental Health, Disability and Aged Care. At Abito Care and Support Services, we see your ABILITY and you as a PERSON. We ensure this by working hand-in-hand with our participants/clients, their families, and their carers. All our care and support services are tailored to each of our client’s needs. At Abito Care and Support Services, we make use of the following approaches in the delivery of our care and support services: reflective and collaborative recovery approach, person-centred care services approach, and continuous improvement approach. We also continuously celebrate recovery, diversity and inclusivity. Our Services Personal Care: daily personal grooming (showers, oral care, and shaving), assistance with getting dressed for the day, assistance with toileting, and assistance with medication.
Household Assistance Activities: cooking, daily activities planning, daily spending receipts recording, clothes washing, hanging out clothes unto clotheslines, ironing, meal preparation, and general daily household cleaning tasks. Community Participation and Transportation Support Activities: transportation to and from appointments – (shopping, haircuts, coffee and other social/sports outings, holidays, social outings with families, transportation to and from educational and work centres, medical and allied health appointments).
Supported Independent Living (SIL) Accommodation and Care Supports: we support NDIS participants to find and secure accommodation to live alone or in shared accommodation (depending on their NDIS funding). We also provide up to 24 hours daily life, personal care, and household assistance care supports (mentioned above) to NDIS participants in SIL accommodation settings. The 24 hours support also includes night-time sleepover or/and awake (active overnight care supports).
In-Home Respite Care, Respite Accommodation and Care, and Short-Term Accommodation: up to 24 hours per day and up to 14 consecutive days care support. Are you a family carer and do you need some time off for some events/occasions or/and do you need some hours off to do some things in the day? Do have the peace of mind that we are here to assist you with providing care supports required for your loved ones during such times.
