Is NDIS Provider Finder free for participants?

Yes, completely free. Searching the directory, viewing provider profiles, and using the Connect With a Provider service all cost nothing. You can search as many times as you like, compare providers, and make contact directly without any charges to you or your NDIS plan.

Can I use any provider in the directory?

It depends on how your NDIS plan is managed. If your plan is agency-managed, you must use registered NDIS providers. If you are plan-managed or self-managed, you have more flexibility and can choose from both registered and unregistered providers. Each provider profile shows their registration status so you can filter accordingly.

How do I know if a provider is reputable?

Look for providers with a verified badge — this indicates their ABN and registration details have been confirmed. You can also check for participant reviews on the profile, visit their website, and ask them directly about their experience with participants who have similar needs to yours. When in doubt, ask your support coordinator for a recommendation.

What if I cannot find a provider in my area?

Many providers offer telehealth or travel to participants' homes, so do not rule out providers who appear to be in a different suburb. Use the delivery method filter to find providers who offer mobile or telehealth services. If you are still struggling, use the Connect With a Provider feature and our team will help identify options in or near your area.

Can I change providers if things are not working out?

Yes. You are entitled to choose, change, or end services with any NDIS provider. There may be notice periods or cancellation terms in your service agreement, so check the terms you signed when you started. NDIS Provider Finder can help you find an alternative provider whenever you need one.
