Assistance in Care & Domestic Assistance for Individuals with Disability Balance provides caring support to individuals with disability. Our difference is that, first and foremost, we are carers. Every member of the Balance team is skilled in disability support and passes a background screening to ensure security for those we serve. Our service providers offer full-spectrum support for domestic assistance. We pride ourselves on integrity, transparency and attention-to-detail and work closely with our clients to provide the particular support they need to experience a full life. Assistance in Daily Personal Activities Day-to-day activities can be challenging to people with disabilities; from simple difficulties eg reaching for an item on the top shelf to more complex requirements for dressing, grooming, or bathing assistance. To deliver care that starts from the heart, our providers establish relationships with participants, ensuring that they feel comfortable and respected during even the most intimate moments. Our providers are skilled in all levels of personal activity support, providing assistance across every aspect of daily life. Assistance in Household Tasks For individuals with disability, home life can present obstacles. That’s why we provide the best possible care, in the home; cleaning, vacuuming, dishwashing, maintenance, yard work, basic repairs, disinfecting, and more. We employ rigorous hygiene standards and provide the necessary support to make home life easier enabling our clients to live with comfort and cleanliness. Additionally, our Balance support workers are flexible, adjusting to the individual needs of the client. Assistance in Managing Life Stages, Transition, and Supports Throughout life, achieving short and long-term goals is important. At the same time, change can be challenging to individuals with disability. As participants transition into new situations, we provide support to make the transition easier. We begin with discussion, analysing the new situation, then determine what arrangements might be necessary. Additionally, our Balance support workers offer skill development, life planning, and guidance support to help individuals with disability build self-sufficiency. Throughout the entire process, Balance puts care first and foremost, providing quality from the heart. Assistance with Travel/ Transport Arrangements Transportation is necessary to daily life. Individuals with special needs and disabilities often require help when using public or private transport. Our specialists provide travel support, making sure that participants travel to their destination in comfort. Additionally, we provide independence skill training, identifying approaches to improve independent travel. For shopping trips, medical visits, community events and more, our Balance team is here to support you. Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities Social interaction and community involvement promotes emotional wellbeing, self-confidence, and life fulfilment. Our community support assistance enables clients to participate in activities that give their lives meaning. These activities include charity support, community boards, sporting groups and volunteering opportunities. We offer flexible solutions to maximise the participation of our clients in their chosen activities. Innovative Community Participation Large scale events like conferences, festivals, concerts and pop-up gatherings can offer challenges to our clients.
