From the provider: At Ability Alliance Care, we don’t believe disability support is about keeping people busy or supervised. We believe it’s about building skills, confidence, independence, and real opportunities. Founded by someone with lived experience, Ability Alliance Care was created to challenge low expectations and provide support that actually leads somewhere. Everything we do is intentional, person-centred, and focused on outcomes that matter to the individual and their family. What we support • Community access and meaningful social participation • Daily living and personal care support • Life skills and independence building • School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) • Creative programs including drama, dance, and performance • Inclusive Grind – our social enterprise creating real work skills and employment pathways Where we work Greater Sydney, with a strong focus on Western Sydney and the Inner West. What makes us different • We are goal-driven, not roster-driven • Every shift has purpose • Programs are designed around ability, not limitations • Strong partnerships with community organisations and creative spaces • Employment pathways, not just activities • Support workers matched based on personality, values, and participant preference • Trauma-informed, culturally aware, and genuinely inclusive Real impact We’ve supported participants to gain barista skills, perform on stage, build independence in the community, and grow confidence in ways their families didn’t think were possible. Families consistently tell us their loved ones are happier, more confident, and more motivated since starting with Ability Alliance Care. Our team Our team includes experienced support workers, behaviour-support-informed staff, allied health students, and people with lived experience. All staff complete ongoing training in boundaries, safety, mental health, and person-centred support. How we work We start by listening. We build supports around the person’s goals, strengths, and interests, then regularly review and adapt as they grow. We focus on progress, not just attendance. Current availability We currently have capacity for community access and daily living supports, with limited availability for SIL and program-based supports. If you’re looking for support that is intentional, empowering, and focused on real outcomes — not just ticking boxes — Ability Alliance Care is here to support the journey.
