Sleepless Footscray runs practical music and audio courses in a working Footscray studio. People of all abilities and experience levels are welcome to choose a creative focus, build skills and work towards something they can finish and share. Creative Capacity Building Courses include Beatmaking & Production, Songwriting & Recording, DJ Foundations and Podcast & Audio Storytelling. Participants can develop beats, demos, songs, sets or podcast episodes while learning equipment, software and studio workflow through guided practice, repetition and project finishing.
Sessions are delivered in person as 1:1 or small-group sessions for two to three people. Standard sessions are two hours and are shaped around participant goals, pacing, access needs and the work being developed. Support workers can be involved where helpful. Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants are welcome. Sleepless Footscray is an unregistered NDIS provider. These programs are creative capacity-building services, not therapy, music therapy or clinical services.
