Hi, I'm a Disability Support Worker and mum of two boys, one of who is living with autisim. I opened my own business mid-2022. I found a need to support other families with children with disabilities, and so SHD People Support was born. I have been working as a Disability Support Worker after a career in customer service and upskilling to cater to the diverse needs that this space requires. after study I worked in a fully supported independant living house.
Clients needs were complex ranging from full Personal Care to x2 assist transfers, peg feeds, following meal time managment plans and medication adminstration to non verbal clients. I am currently supporting a family with multiple children with disabilties. I am looking to expand my support capacity with additional workers and clients.
