Community nursing covers clinical assessment, wound management from simple dressings through to complex care, PEG and tracheostomy support, palliative care, medication administration and health monitoring.

Support workers assist with daily living tasks such as showering, hygiene and meal preparation, and help participants build independence skills alongside the participant or their existing worker.

Accommodation support is arranged in partnership with Vera Living, which provides SDA homes in Cairns for participants with high physical support needs, including villas with assistive technology and adjustable kitchen benches.

A fully accessible van provides transport to medical appointments, hydrotherapy sessions, shopping trips and social outings.

Level 2 coordination of supports helps participants design and build their support arrangements, link with formal and informal networks and understand how their funding can be used.

Level 3 coordination supports participants whose situations are complex, delivered by an experienced practitioner with qualifications in areas such as psychology, occupational therapy, social work or mental health nursing.
