Very disappointing and frustrating. I received no real help or support. In the end it was clear they had no interest, care or concern in providing me with the needed and promised supports they had offered and suggested at the start when signing me up.

One good Day has some amazing recovery coachesbut turnover and not much clarity in charges is challenging. There feels like a lack of control or choice. I hope the service goes back to old ways of employing people who want to work for long time and build relationship with disabled people.

I was only with One Good Day fairly briefly. I had a recovery coach named Shannon who didn’t show up most of the time. I heard from Justine the second time Shannon didn’t show up that she simply forgot. I was waiting for a couple hours and of course she didn’t come. I didn’t even get an apology. I then was signed up to Justine but I felt we didn’t get along at all. I was signed up by Samantha, but she NEVER phoned me back. Not once-despite he specifically saying when she signed me up that she will get back to me within 24 hours. I tried to liaise with her to find another recovery coach, but she never phoned me back-I did get a call from Mathew, he seemed nice but tried to convince me to have a male recovery coach-I don’t work with men. I have right of control and that is my right. He then advised that they had no available women, advised I can’t just be on there books without a recovery coach and suggested I leave. He didn’t offer to help me to find another organisation -even after I voiced several times that I was finding it extremely difficult to find a support coordinator/recovery coach. He did send me a text to advise that all I have to do is reply yes please to him stating I want to leave the organisation. This company made me feel worthless. They know how vulnerable I am, I have no support outside my support workers and left for dead. I understand if I did something wrong but I didn’t, I was always very kind to them in my dealings with them. I then got a call from Isabella, who apologised for Mathew and advised she will help me find another recovery coach but she always says she will call me back in 10 minutes and never does. I have been left for dead, what makes it worse is they know I have no other supports but my support workers and need help. They left a vulnerable person out on the cold, after the way Mathew dealt with me I went on a two day drinking binge.

To begin with they were good, but then I was always having to chase my recovery coach for things to be done or to get an update. I left their service.

I’ve just started with OGD and things are very much in early stages. My coach is kind, understanding and helpful. I’m still learning the system.

My OGD recovery coach has tried to find a Support Worker. She is nice, but try to convince me their value because so far not much has happened to meet my goals. I doubt Recovery Coach has had any experience working with participants with Borderline Personality Disorder let alone working with older adults. More training needed by One Good Day.

My OGD coach is helping me reach my goals and any of the goals that are important to me. She supports me every time and asks me questions relevant with my life. I like that the program is supportive and she knows when I need help. Also, my recovery coach always listens to me and we can get productive together. I would like to change the procrastination when a task needs to be done. I need to spend more than an hour with her as sometimes is coming late.

Since working with OGD I’m able to more openly talk about how my day works; how my ADHD & ASD impacts me. I’m able to accept it and live my life the way that works for ME without having to make excuses for everything. I’ve become so much more confident in learning ways to communicate that this is how my brain works... I wouldn’t have that without having my recovery coach who knows what these experiences are like and how impactful they can be. My coach’s lived experience is humanising and makes everything so much easier. When I started with OGD, I went through 2 other RC’s that didn’t seem overly interested in helping me. I’d change that experience. But although it started out rocky, I’m grateful for it because now I have a recovery coach who is PERFECT for me.

I have expected quite a lot from recovery coach program initially in regards to mental health perspectives but the services seem similar to the roles of the service coordinator so nothing much has changed. I recommend they make it easier for me to easily access the recovery coach, broaden the coach’s roles, and have them build up more rapport with me.

I have understood more about how NDIS worked and got support since starting with OGD. It was a good idea to set goals. My coach is a supportive person.

My favourite thing about my OGD coach is his manner on the phone. He is so polite. He is more communicative than the last organisation I worked with. He's only new and he doesn't totally know the system yet. He's never big noted himself but a lot of the other people I've worked with have pretended they do know it all and they don't. They look at the way the system's working as a whole. It's about creating new opportunities. The only thing I don't like about it is he's only there part time, so it's normally the support worker who I talk to. He's just learning still, and I respect that. It feels like we're hand-in-hand because I feel he's so honest - when he says he will do something he will go hell for leather. If he doesn't know how to do it, he will say "I have to talk to my superiors about that to make sure I know how to do it the right way." I really respect that. He lets me know what's going on behind the scenes as well - there's no silliness. He's been good, he's a good man and he's honest. He makes me feel like I'm a part of it too - he says "we'll work on it together and I'll let you know what they say."

Because of working with OGD, I’m beginning to find supports for me & organise. OGD is personable, I don't feel like a number.

My OGD coach is amazing and I owe her more than I could possibly repay. She's a beautiful person inside and out, I'm so grateful to know her and cannot say thank you enough to this organisation. I've finally begun making progress towards gaining a support network and using my NDIS funding to get out of the house and work towards a healthier space in life. If I could keep her with me at all times I would, nothing to change she's brilliant. Thank you One Good Day for providing a much needed service to help people such as myself struggling to gain access to things that others like to keep hidden and out of reach, your team has made my life a whole lot easier.

My OG*D recovery coach is a really lovely person who goes above and beyond. She understands my trauma and what’s going on and the fears I have. She is easy going and really empathetic. She doesn’t push me to do thing and helps me see a way though the darkness. I wouldn’t change a single thing. Pay her more for what she does. I think OGD are awesome. I like that they don’t expect you to have a good day every day. I love that they support you beyond anything and put you and the things you need to stay alive first.

OGD has helped me to introduce stability and routine into my life. It’s helped with goal setting and achieving. through setting goals I’m able to build a healthy relationship with food and my self esteem. I love that my recovery coach is so accessible. I like that even through lockdown I’m still able to meet my coach in person. My coach has been able to hook me up with services I wouldn’t be able to find on my own.

Since starting to work with OG*D, I have more accountability. Improved daily functioning. Understand my plan better and now proper supports in place. My coach has been very helpful in these and other regards. The support worker he hooked me up with has been amazing and I feel optimistic about my future for the first time. I would change nothing at this stage, we seem to have a good connection and rapport and I like having someone where I can agree to have certain things done by a certain date, and know that the accountability is there. Formerly this was lacking. Before OGD I also had ZERO formal supports aside from occasional counselling. So I'm grateful for the assistance so far, and it's nice I will be able to rely upon it in future. I like my coach and he's helped me a lot. I don't feel so lost or adrift or helpless/unsupported. My mental health is improving slowly and I feel I will be able to consolidate these changes into real progress. I'm grateful for this.

Because of working with OG*D, I have become more proactive in getting what I need/can out of my NDIS funding. I have also gained the confidence to start looking for a support worker, previously I didn't want one out of social fear, but my recovery coach has built my confidence. My coach is so relatable, friendly and funny. But apart from the social aspects she works really really hard. She gets things done, and she advocates for me even though I usually feel like I don't deserve it. I would literally change nothing. I'm having a more than pleasant journey with them so far.

Because of my work with One Good* day, my anxiety and triggers have reduced. Many small changes have began using the support services available, but recovery takes time and patience. Staying more positive about future. My coach is real, someone I feel I can confidently feel listens to me and has my needs and hopes in mind when helping me consider other support or solutions to issues involving my life.

One Good* Day has mainly been setting up services for me at the moment, all the NDIS funding. So we haven't got down to the coaching bit yet. I do have some services in place. They're the ones I wanted and that I get off my NDIS plan. They've been working well. My coach is very understanding and a good listener. She helps me out with problems and if I have an issue she's always there and she tries her best with helping me out with the things I want to do. She communicates well with me. I wouldn't change anything.

I'm very satisfied with One Good* day. I have a very nice recovery coach. It's really nice to talk with him. We have made some plans together. We are moving towards my goals step by step. He is a very nice person. He is very encouraging. He treats us like friends, not a cold personality. There's nothing I would change. It's lovely the way it is now.

My recovery coach is really nice, competent in her work. She knows what she's doing. She gets in touch with people pretty quickly. She's a very nice lady in general. I feel quite safe with her. She's really helping me a lot. I've been getting out more and doing more stuff with my support workers since working with One Good* Day.

My recovery coach at One Good* Day is amazing. Not only are they highly attentive, they are also understanding of the current situation. My coach goes out of her way to assist with finding supports, understanding my funding and in general is easy to get along with. with the help of a recovery coach I have a much better understanding of how I can use my funding. The coach has also been a great help in establishing and maintaining a good routine, that has helped to get me through one of my harder study semesters. They have also been encouraging in getting me used to socialising in person with others (when rules allowed for it). I wanted to thank the team for being so incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I have only ever used one service but out of the several I contacted One good day was the only proactive recovery coach service. Keep leaning into that pro activity, it especially helps for those that can easily slip through.

One good day has been amazing for me. Lisa has helped me to get my plan working for me while being there to support me on my good and bad days. This has made it a lot easier to focus on things I really need to.
