Together, they bring over 55 years of combined experience in mental health, education, and therapy. 🧠💬📓✏️Mark grew up with trauma and a persistent sense of not being "enough".

Through years of study in psychology and social work at the University of Western Australia, he became his own first client, learning how to shift the heavy alert state of the nervous system. Today, with over 20 years of experience and 10,000+ clients supported, he understands how to navigate psychological distress and NDIS-specific needs with sensitivity. 🎨🖌️🌿✨🎧 Julie brings a wealth of knowledge as a school teacher for over 35 years and holds specialized qualifications in counselling and art therapy.

She specializes in Art Therapy via Video, providing a creative and expressive outlet for participants to process emotions and build functional capacity. 🎨🧠 Your Choice of Support : Talk Therapy or Art Therapy. We believe support should fit the person. You have the option to engage with the modality that feels right for you. If you're tired of clinical jargon and "doctor-talk," you've come to the right place . While we take our work seriously, we are down-to-earth people who speak like human beings. You get the benefit of professionally trained clinicians, but the conversation feels like genuine, grounded support .

😊😊😊 Our Therapeutic Model We provide specialist support that is sensory-friendly (no waiting rooms), truly accessible Australia-wide, and safely delivered in your own home . Our therapy is billable under Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living) and includes: ACT Therapy: Moving toward what matters. Art Therapy: Creative expression via Video. How I feel about my sessions I see Julie on my tablet screen every week. At first, I was worried I wouldn’t know what to do with the camera, but Julie made it easy. I like being in my own kitchen where it is quiet and smells like my tea. I don't have to worry about the noise of a waiting room. Julie feels like a friend who visits my screen to help me feel brave. What I have learned Even though Julie isn't in the room, we do art "together-apart." Setting up my Space: I learned how to turn on my tablet and set up my art supplies so Julie can see my paper. This makes me feel very smart and capable. The "Calm Box": Julie helped me make a box of art supplies that I keep next to the computer. When I see the box, I know it is time to relax. Drawing My Voice: When I find it hard to talk through the computer, I draw a picture and hold it up to the camera. Julie understands what I mean straight away. How my life is changing Telehealth with Julie has helped me practice "being seen" by others: Feeling Confident on Camera: I used to hide my face when my sister Maya tried to Video Call me. Now, because I practice with Julie, I can talk to Maya on the screen and show her what I’ve been making. Less "Tummy Tightness" at Home: I used to get very anxious if the doorbell rang or if my housemates were loud. Now, I use the "Color Breathing" Julie taught me through the screen to stay calm in my own house. Using my Words: Because I have to explain my art to Julie over the video, my speaking is getting clearer. I am practicing "Big Voice" instead of "Whisper Voice." My Goal I want to keep doing my video sessions with Julie. It helps me feel like the world is not so scary, even when I am just at home. My goal is to use my tablet to join a "Virtual Art Club" with other people one day soon.

Sarah, thank you so much for sharing your journey. It is incredible to see how you have transformed your kitchen into a place of creativity and courage. You should be very proud of the milestones you’ve reached!

Finding a counsellor who actually sees me—not just my diagnosis—has been life-changing. For six years, this has been the one place where I don’t have to perform or fit into a clinical box. I’m listened to, my perspective is respected, and my way of navigating a really difficult condition is actually validated rather than questioned. In a world that constantly judges you for not living a 'normal' life because of a disability, this support has been my anchor. It’s more than just therapy; it’s a space where I feel human, accepted, and finally understood. Jake M. Melbourne
