Hi, I'm Liam! ), self-confessed nerd, gamer, movie buff and St Kilda supporter. I'm an independent disability support worker with almost 20 years of experience in information technology in private industry and the education sector, and I'm passionate about helping people build confidence, independence and meaningful connections through person-centred support. What makes my support a little different is my combination of disability support and technology mentoring.
I believe technology should be fun, accessible and empowering—not confusing or overwhelming. Whether it's learning to use a smartphone, building digital skills, staying safe online, using apps to support daily living, or simply gaining confidence with technology, I can help participants use technology as a tool for greater independence. Alongside technology mentoring, I provide individualised disability support including community access, social participation, everyday living skills, attending appointments, developing confidence and working towards personal goals.
I take the time to build genuine relationships, understand what matters to each person and provide support that is flexible, respectful and tailored to individual goals. I am community and office based and have a great space set-up in Ballarat for participants to see me in a place that is outside of the home environment. I have a strong understanding of disability, neurodiversity and mental health through both my professional and personal experiences, and I'm committed to continually learning and expanding my knowledge to provide the best possible support.
If you're looking for a support worker who is patient, reliable, down-to-earth, family and carer inclusive, and genuinely invested in helping you achieve your goals, I'd love to hear from you!
