About Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing

Queensland

Casey Conroy Accredited Practising Dietitian | Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician | Naturopath | Yoga Teacher Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing provides compassionate, evidence-based nutrition and health support for NDIS participants who want to improve their physical health, energy levels, food confidence and daily living skills. I am Casey Conroy, an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, Naturopath and Yoga Teacher based on the Sunshine Coast.

I have extensive experience supporting people with complex health presentations, neurodivergence, disordered eating patterns and long-term medical concerns. My approach is neuroaffirming, trauma-informed and weight-neutral. I focus on building practical skills, safety around food, and long-term independence rather than restrictive diets or short-term plans. My training as a yoga teacher also informs my work with nervous system regulation, body awareness and interoceptive skill-building.

For some participants, gentle breathwork or grounding techniques can support emotional regulation, anxiety management and improved connection to hunger and fullness cues. Who I Support I work with adolescents and adults who may experience: • Autism and ADHD-related eating challenges • Sensory-based food aversions or limited variety • Disordered eating or eating disorders • Emotional eating or food anxiety • Chronic dieting and weight cycling • Gastrointestinal issues • Fatigue or low energy • Under-fuelling or inconsistent eating patterns • Body image distress • Complex medical conditions requiring nutrition support How I Can Help Support may include: • Establishing regular, sustainable meal routines • Expanding food variety safely and gradually • Building interoceptive awareness (recognising hunger and fullness cues) • Reducing fear-based food rules • Supporting nutrition adequacy while using medications (including GLP-1 therapies) • Improving energy, strength and overall wellbeing • Supporting digestive health • Developing practical shopping, meal planning and cooking skills • Gentle nervous system regulation strategies where appropriate • Collaborative communication with GPs, psychologists and allied health providers (with consent) Sessions are tailored to each participant’s goals and capacity.

I prioritise safety, autonomy and realistic progress. NDIS Funding Categories Services may be delivered under: • Improved Health & Wellbeing • Improved Daily Living Skills • Capacity Building supports Telehealth appointments available Australia-wide. In-person appointments available on the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas. My goal is to help participants develop the skills and confidence needed to nourish themselves safely, improve daily functioning, and build a more peaceful and sustainable relationship with food.
