Cairns Disability Network is a volunteer-run network of therapists, providers, supports and services working across Cairns and Far North Queensland. It was formed in 2008 by Lynne Zappala of TAFE with the National Disability Coordination Officer Program, and brings together job providers, employment networks, TAFE, James Cook University, Education Queensland, advocacy and support groups, parents and providers. Members meet for a 7am networking breakfast on the third Thursday of each month at Spinal Life in Cairns. The network also maintains an online directory of local providers, supports and resources and coordinates a free annual disability expo.
