At Aurora Recovery & Support, we believe healing happens when experience meets understanding. I’m Jessica Comer, a lived-experience peer support worker and psychosocial recovery coach based in the Hunter Valley/Newcastle region, dedicated to helping participants regain confidence, independence, and hope. I provide trauma-informed, client-centered support for people navigating mental health challenges, psychosocial disability, or recovery from domestic violence.
Whether through 1:1 coaching, small group workshops, or practical goal-focused sessions, my aim is to empower participants to build resilience, set achievable goals, and reconnect with their community. What makes Aurora different? Lived experience that informs care — I understand the challenges personally and professionally Flexible, tailored support — sessions designed around your goals, schedule, and comfort Practical, skills-based approach — we focus on building real-world skills, confidence, and independence Local knowledge & networks — connections to Hunter Valley and Newcastle community services for ongoing support We work with NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants and offer short-term or ongoing support.
If you’re looking for a peer-led, empowering, and trauma-informed approach to recovery, I’d love to connect and explore how we can support your journey.
