Alpha Assist is an NDIS service provider. We look after anyone needing assistance with community nursing care. We are there for anyone who needs help with catheter care, wound management and other nursing related services. Alpha Assist provides personal care support across a variety of different settings. Our daily personal care supports will help you with all your daily personal activities and we will assist you with, or supervise you with personal tasks of daily life.
Our services are not limited but they include: Personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming. Toileting, bladder and bowel management and menstrual care. Eating and drinking. Attending appointments. Use of aids and appliances, hearing, and communication devices. Mobility and transferring, for example moving in and out of bed and on or off the toilet Our high-intensity supports provide specialized, more skilled, and more experienced support workers.
We help you with high intensity daily personal activities that include but are not limited to: Complex Bowel Care Enteral Feeding and Management Severe Dysphagia Management Tracheostomy Care Urinary Catheters Complex Tracheotomy Care Ventilators Complex Wound Management Managing Diabetes Some people find it difficult to engage in daily chores and perform activities around their homes. As a result, this will see simple tasks such as cooking and cleaning becoming a real hassle.
It is likely that the NDIS support plan will include services for household task if a person’s disability is preventing them from doing those chores efficiently. Alpha Assist can help participants in a large range of tasks such as: Vacuuming and mopping floors Dusting and wiping surfaces Kitchen cleaning including sinks, taps, benches, microwaves Bathrooms including toilets, showers, and baths Gardening, Backyard cleaning, Garbage disposal, and other permissible household tasks under the individual’s support plan Delivery of Disability-Related Health Supports by a Nurse.
Our support is delivered by registered, enrolled, or clinical nurses. Alpha Assist services may include but are not limited to: Medication Administration Blood glucose monitoring and insulin management Catheter change and care Wound care – simple and complex Oxygen, C-PAP, and nebulizer administration Chronic disease management Advance Care Planning Skin check and pressure care PEG insertion and management Care of IV and PICC lines Nutritional advice and education Health and wellbeing advice Assessment and management of illness Referral to Allied Health Liaison with your GP as required Vital signs monitoring Alpha Assist recognizes the importance of social and community participation.
Alpha Assist will help you to attend new and innovative community participation activities that will help build your capacity and confidence.
