From the provider: I enjoy helping both adolescent and adult clients discover there is an alternative to the life of distress and discomfort quite often being experienced in the lead up to engaging with mental health support. Providing telehealth mental health support and counselling has become a passion of mine because it is easy to access and can be engaged with from the privacy of your own home (or car, office, garage etc). I work with people who are experiencing low mood and/or low motivation, difficulties adjusting, stress, anger, confusion or worry, to empower them to discover their strengths whilst developing insight into their presentation. I help clients over a short/medium term basis (longer if required) to discover tools/strategies that unlock their ability to formulate goals, move closer to their dreams and live a fulfilling life. Techniques I enjoy using across the therapy journey are: Acceptance and commitment therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy and Motivational interviewing. Together, we will explore your past experiences with psychologists, what has and hasn’t worked for you, and hone in on what might help you on the adventure ahead. I see clients for a broad range of presentations, including: depression, anxiety, grief, difficulties with drugs and/or alcohol, trauma, stress management, life transitions, gender/identity, and more.

From the provider: There are many reasons why an individual might decide to see a psychotherapist. There are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ reasons; psychotherapy is an invitation to speak— not only about what worries and troubles us, but also about the things that matter. Casey Anderson takes a psychoanalytic approach to psychotherapy. This involves careful listening to understand the individuals inner life, particularly in the form of unconscious ideas and feelings. This way of working can be particularly helpful to work through unresolved feelings and to locate the hidden cause of symptoms; bringing relief from depression, anxiety, somatic disorders, and repetitive relationship issues. Through her work in a range of diverse settings with children, adolescents, adults and couples, Casey’s experience has given her a deep understanding of what it means to be human, and formed her view that we are unique and complex beings with a desire for connection with self and others, even if this feels difficult. In a first meeting, we will have a chance to ask each other questions to determine if we are a good match and your suitability for short term supportive counselling or long term psychotherapy. Casey is a clinical member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). She holds a BA Social Science, Major in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Graduate Diploma of Psychotherapy.

CODA Auslan Services

Advocacy and Peer Support

From the provider: CODA Auslan Services is a business run by Jade, a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) who grew up in the deaf community and experienced first hand the unjust treatment and daily challenges that her deaf and hard-of-hearing friends and family faced every day. Despite the integration of the deaf community into the NDIS, the support available to help understand and properly navigate the NDIS planning process was severely lacking. This resulted in the ubiquitous occurrences of members of the deaf community not receiving sufficient funding to support their lifestyle and needs. Since 2020, there has been a rise by 400% in AAT (Administrative Appeals Tribunal) applications to review insufficient funding for interpreters or assistive technologies. There is also a near complete lack of advocacy groups for the deaf community to help them navigate this system. We don't find this acceptable. So we have decided to use our skills and our knowledge of the deaf community and the legal sector to assist the deaf community with preparing and presenting their updated needs and goals during a plan review, and helping those who were wrongfully denied funding appeal the decision. Frequently Asked Questions

How much do NDIS Services providers cost in Western Australia?

NDIS Services rates in Western Australia follow the NDIS Price Guide limits. Costs vary based on the type of support, time of service (standard hours, evenings, weekends), worker qualifications, and travel requirements. Plan-managed and self-managed participants have greater flexibility in choosing providers and negotiating rates.

What's the difference between registered and unregistered NDIS providers?

NDIS registered providers have met quality and safety standards set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Agency-managed participants must use registered providers. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can choose either registered or unregistered providers, giving more flexibility in their choices.

Can I change my NDIS Services provider if it's not working out?

Yes, you have the right to change providers at any time. Review your service agreement for notice periods and discuss any concerns with your provider first. If you're unhappy with the service, you can end the agreement and find a new provider that better meets your needs.

How do I find NDIS Services providers who speak my language?

Use the Language filter at the top of this page to find providers offering support in your preferred language. Western Australia has providers available in many languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Greek, Italian, and more. You can also specify language requirements when contacting providers directly.

What qualifications should NDIS Services providers have?

All NDIS workers must have a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check. Many hold qualifications like Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or relevant allied health degrees. Specialist providers may have additional training in specific disability types. Always ask providers about their qualifications and experience.
