I have 19 years experience implementing safe work practices and managing risk & compliance in industries such as Mining, Manufacturing & Construction within high-risk working environments. I've joined the disability industry as I want to help improve the safeguard standards with registered & unregistered providers. I want to provide unregistered providers with a network of supports to reduce worker turnover/burnout within the industry. I want to make sure participants maintain choice and control which includes who they want as part of their support team so they feel safe, and ensure safeguard practices are being implemented, maintained and monitored. I also want to help families who are yet to enter the scheme, by sourcing local organizations within their community so they can access immediate support. I am currently in the process of obtaining my NDIS registration. We endeavour to be certified by Sept-24.
