From the provider: WeCare24/7 is a new NDIS provider in the Southern Highland Region, and we are currently in the process of getting audited by the NDIA, hence our services for now will be tailored towards self-managed and plan managed NDIS participants. We are hoping to eventually become a registered NDIS provider and are currently in the process so we can extend our services to NDIS-managed participants as well. The SIL accommodation is on Goldsmith Street in Goulburn, with the possibility of extending this service to Crookwell. The SIL accommodation in Goulburn is a 3-bedroom house with 3 bathrooms and can accommodate 3 participants. Our services can provide supported and independent daily living as required under the SIL framework. We will strive to support our participants who are funded via the NDIS to achieve the following: - 1. Core Supports: These are for everyday activities and support needs. 2. Capacity Building Supports: These help you build skills and independence. 3. Capital Supports: These cover assistive technology, home modifications, and other one-time expenses. The framework we hope to use is a recovery-based model, which will be a holistic and person-centered approach based on the participant's goals, strengths, support network, resources etc. Below are some of the services we are looking at providing 1. Life Skills Training: - Provide training in essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking, time management, job search, and communication to help clients develop the necessary skills for independent living. This can empower clients to be more self-sufficient and confident in managing their daily lives. 2. Psychoeducation Workshops: - Organize workshops on mental health and wellness topics such as stress management, self-care, mindfulness, and resilience. Educating clients about mental health can help reduce stigma, increase awareness, and empower them to take control of their recovery journey. 3. Peer Support Programs: - Establish peer support programs where clients can connect with others who have lived experience with mental illness. Peer support can provide empathy, validation, and encouragement, creating a sense of community and reducing feelings of isolation. 4. Recreational Therapy: - Offer recreational activities such as art therapy, music therapy, yoga, or nature outings to promote holistic healing and well-being. Engaging in creative and recreational pursuits can enhance mood, reduce anxiety, and improve overall mental health. 5. Case Management Services: - Train support workers to case manage clients to provide personalized support, coordinate care, and advocate for their needs. Case managers can help clients navigate the healthcare system, access resources, and set and achieve recovery goals. 6. Support participants in establishing social connections within the community
