Sexual Health & Family Planning ACT (SHFPACT) is a health promotion charity that provides sexual and reproductive health services to Canberra and the region. For people with disability and/or autism, SHFPACT offers disability services including individual counselling with qualified mental health professionals, personalised one-on-one education sessions delivered by an experienced educator, and group programs such as Me and You, Family Friends & Relationships and Nice to Meet Me.
Counselling focuses on people's knowledge, personal strengths and goals in overcoming challenges in sexual health and relationships, while personalised education supports people to achieve their relationships and sexual health goals, using tools from the SoSAFE! Framework for promoting social safety. Group programs can be funded under Capacity Building - Increased Social and Community Participation. SHFPACT also provides training and support for parents, carers and professionals.
