Catherine has done a wonderful job of supporting me with my NDIS plan. She explains everything clearly and lets me progress toward the goals of my plan at my own pace. She is knowledgeable, kind, and helpful and responds to my questions very quickly. I don’t know how I managed before Catherine came along.

I have been supported by Ricky for the past 5 years Ricky has helped me achieve my goals and assisted during my times of crisis around the complex NDIS Web around home modifications and plan reviews. From the initial NDIS plan to now my 5th plan I have been supported all the way through by my Support Coordinator with understanding my NDIS plan with greater understanding of the NDIS processes I can’t thank Ricky enough for his continued support!.

I have been working with my Support Coordinator Catherine now for over a year. I have been amazed at what a difference in my experience has been made by having a professional and knowledgeable support coordinator. Catherine has been marvelous in helping me to understand how my plan is funded, thinking outside the box on how I can use my funding, and sourcing and linking me in with providers and supports within my local community. Catherine is kind caring and compassionate and I feel very supported every time I have a question or concerns about my plan or my supports. Thanks Catherine for all you work.

Great experiences staff who really care about their customers

We just started with them for my daughter and they've been great. They came out and talked us through everything – really clarified some of our other questions and gave us insight into how the actual system all works and how we use the NDIS to its best. They matched my daughter with a carer really quickly and gave us information about who was coming around and their experience. Very happy.

I receive core supports through McArthur, including domestic assistance such as cleaning and help around the home. They've made things really comfortable. It was my first plan and they were never pushy, instead being incredibly supportive and listening to what I needed. There had been some minor things such as difficulty with staff turnover and handovers, but they quickly resolved these concerns and have been great. I'd highly recommend them.

I haven't been with them very long, but their communication so far has been great. Compared to other previous agencies, I really like them and there's been clear benefits. I can't think of any potential improvements.

SA Review I've found them excellent, the organisation is really good in terms in getting clients organised and doing matching. I'm a support worker and have been for about a year. I have had an interview with any potential clients and I've always met the clients I have worked with permanently. We do that to make sure we're a good match. They're great at organising shifts and covering shifts. They let the clients know if I'm meeting someone if I'm covering someone else's shift. I've never experienced any problems. The staff are accommodating and professional – I'm really impressed.

SA Review My son uses their disability services, we've found them excellent. Their communication is excellent and their response time is great. They will usually get back to me within the day. We're one of their first customers and I can't fault them. They are very approachable and have taken everything I've said onboard. The staff are very well trained. I'm very happy with them – they're a role model to other disability organisations! The only thing I would say, and this is across the board for disability, there are a lot of females, and it would be great to have more male workers. I know McArthur have tried really hard to recruit men. They seem to have a high standard of staff.

SA Review I'm Support Worker at McArthur Community Care SA – I've been working there for just over 12months and absolutely love working there, they are very supportive and help in any way they can. They are very organised and supportive of their clients and their needs. You can feel free to ring them and they'll go out of their way to help us help the clients and they'll help me as a worker.

SA Review I have personal support from McArthur Community Care, I find them excellent, I'm very happy with them! The person who comes in the morning comes with a smile and is always happy and in a good mood. The rest of the girls who come for my care are excellent too all of them. They help clean, help wash, they help cook for me – the food is always beautiful and they're really willing to learn to cook what I like. If there is every an emergency or if I need help, they are always there for me.

SA Review I am a disability support worker and have worked with McArthur for about a year. They're very encouraging and it' very satisfying work. I couldn't get more variety. The office staff are supportive and they respond immediately to any issues. I've been matched with clients and now see the same people regularly and have been able to built wonderful rapport with them.

SA Review One of my family members uses McArthur to provide in home support. We've just started dealing with them, and so far they're brilliant. First of all, their personal support, customer service and their personability when things get tough is great. They follow-through on all the things they say they will do. Little things like their tone of voice, make me feel so supported through difficult times. Very helpful. We deal with a range of other government and support services, and none of them have half of the level of customer services and follow-through.

SA Review I use McArthur services. I have had no negative experiences at all. The contact with the managers and organizers is minimal, but that means that they're doing a good job as far as I'm concerned. They found someone that's very appropriate for me, my opinions and my personality. I have had no problems at all. The one time I called about something, they fixed everything straight away. From my end of things things couldn't be better.

SA Review McArthur supply workers to do my daily chores and care for me. They're good, I've got no complaints. I've been in touch with the head office a fair bit, and they're very well suited to their job. They're pretty well covered with all the things I need, and use their brains when working with me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

SA Review One of my family members has been using McArthur for about 6 months. I think they're fantastic. They provide personalised, supportive and caring services – from our first initial meetings and discussion of the care plan, right through to the execution of the plan by the support workers. The other thing I really like is that they're very open, honest and timely with communication. If there are going to be any changes they let us know about it prior and work with us on solutions. They're so responsive and really listen when I call. Before I engaged McArthur I spoke with a number of other agencies and the level of service at McArthur was well beyond. Their approach is so personalised and they're really focused on meeting the clients' needs. One thing we really love is their attention to detail that they give to matching the team of support workers to the clients needs. There has been so much work in the background to find the right team to work with and compliment my family member. What that does for my family's general well being, mental health is above and beyond. It's really given her a life, and level of independence, that we didn't think she would achieve again.

SA Review I've been getting support with McArthur daily for a while. I've got control of the people who come and assist me. If one's sick, I can ring and ask someone else to cover. They listen to me, and respect my wishes, and I was able to bring my carers with me when I transferred to McArthur. I've been away with McArthur carers also, and had some great supports on my holidays – with carers who speak other languages and can support me on my travel.

SA Review I am a full time carer, and McArthur provide support to look after my family member so I can have respite. They're teaching her life skills, vocational skills, craft work, and really keeping her amused and happy. They're improving her social skills and life skills too. All the workers are brilliant, and it comes from the top. Management is amazing, they go above and beyond and they lead by example. You can tell they're working in the field because of the passion they have for caring for people, and making sure they're well looked after. They take the time to make sure there's a good fit for the care worker and the client in terms of temperament, personality and skills. One particular worker who's been with us for a long time – I haven't found anything she can't do yet. She gets on exceptionally well with my family member also. McArthur took on an advocacy role for us in our funding and supports as well, despite us changing over to a new funding scheme. We had a further massive life change recently, and during this particularly stressful time the managers at McArthur took it upon themselves to get me more support and make sure we were well cared for and assisted. They go above and beyond, looking after the family (me!) as well as the clients. I know I can walk away each day in the knowledge that everything will be fine. Even if there are issues, I feel like my family member is in wonderful hands and they will deal with any complications that might arise.

SA Review I being the carer was taken as an emergency to the hospital overnight. McArthur were great. They arranged support workers for my wife all night and through the next day until I was discharged. There is very little to dislike about McArthur. They are finding it hard to find a worker to cover some bed shifts. I know they are recruiting more carers. We hope shortage of workers will change. All the staff at McArthur are friendly and caring people and treat their clients with the upmost respect. All their care workers on our roster are kind, helpful and do a great job. Communication is good but can be improved on.
