Hi, my name is Alana Stewart (she/her/hers) and I am a Registered Art Therapist with ANZACATA and an NDIS Provider under Therapeutic Supports. My name is Alana and I am a Registered Art Psychotherapist (AThR) and NDIS provider. Throughout my life I have noticed the healing and transformative power of art making and creativity, and how this can help people and communities to heal, grow and create and live a meaningful life. I am passionate about creative psychotherapies and the arts in health.
I hold humanitarian values and support disability rights and social justice. I am a trauma-informed and person-centered therapist who holds a Degree in Psychology and Masters of Art Therapy. Prior to becoming an Art Therapist, I have worked in support work roles for people with disability, child and youth trauma, youth and adult homelessness and mental health disability. Alana now works as an Art Therapist one day a week in Eltham, Victoria at the Balanced Wellbeing Center and provides outreach on other days.
