Building Confidence Disability Support Services (BCD Support Services) is an NDIS registered provider based in Mooroobool, Cairns, supporting participants across Far North Queensland. The service is led by founder and director Anthony Jarrett, a support worker with more than 20 years of experience in disability support, aged care and nursing, who built the business around person-centred practice rather than a commercial model. The team works to the values of culture, respect and integrity, providing culturally responsive support and treating every participant with dignity and choice.
Registered supports include assistance with daily personal activities, daily tasks in shared living, household tasks, development of daily living and life skills, assistance with travel and transport, participation in community, social and civic activities, group and centre based activities, innovative community participation, assistance with life stage transitions, accommodation and tenancy assistance, and assistance to access and maintain employment.
Supported Independent Living, Specialist Disability Accommodation and Short Term Accommodation and respite are delivered in homely, well-equipped settings with one-to-one support staff available. Staff are supervised, trained and qualified to deliver supports in line with NDIS practice standards.
