Hey! I’m Mark. I’m the Director and Founder of Ability Links, I’m an NDIS participant, a disability advocate, a Specialist Support Coordinator and the NSW state Director of Physical Disabilities Australia (The peak body for people in Australia living with a physical disability). We fight for people’s rights I’m a massive NDIS nerd and I still have a passion for equity after working 12 years in Community Services. I love to go in-depth into all the finer details of the scheme and use my lived experience navigating the scheme and my passion for technology and systems to create out of the box solutions for unique situations.
I know the struggle there can be to find people that understand the barriers that face the disability community. I have first-hand experience falling through the cracks and finding gaps in services. I founded Ability Links to help people with disabilities to navigate the NDIS, get the right funding and get a plan working for them. We love people to suggest new programs and services. We’re flexible and we like to think out of the box by identifying possible solutions and working backwards, rather than focusing on roadblocks and barriers.
We are a disability led organisation. People with disabilities and their carers understand the barriers our community faces and are uniquely placed to best support others with disabilities to find their voice. Because of this, I have grown a team of experienced disability champions hired from within the disability community to be in the corner of the people we support.
