This funding can be used to offer much-needed respite to both you and your carers, giving them a break from their caregiving responsibilities. A short stay away from home can offer you the opportunity to try new experiences, make new friends, and develop valuable skills, all while providing your carers with the chance to recharge.  For children under the age of 18 we offer early childhood therapeutic supports included in our respite stay, with specialised behavioural therapist, early childhood speech and occupational therapy as well as holiday and day programs to support children through their stay and promote independence, safety and improve their overall well-being. Core supports: Assistance with Daily Living We are dedicated to empowering individuals to effectively and independently manage daily tasks and shared living situations. Our approach fosters confidence and self-sufficiency, enabling individuals to navigate daily life with greater ease. Through personalised support and encouragement, we create a nurturing environment that promotes well-being and a sense of belonging. Community Nursing Care: We are proud to have a Registered Nurse on board, providing community nursing services tailored to the needs of families. Our nurse offers in-home visits, ensuring that care is delivered in the comfort and convenience of your own home. Whether it’s managing health conditions or providing ongoing medical support, we are here to make healthcare more accessible and personalised for your family. Holiday and day programs: We offer engaging and fun holiday programs designed for children and young adults. Our programs provide opportunities to explore, learn, and enjoy new experiences, from visits to the zoo and beach outings to exciting reptile incursions in the clinic. These activities not only promote social interaction and confidence-building but also give participants the chance to explore new environments, fostering growth in a supportive and enjoyable.
